I have 2 events in August at the Atrium in the lobby of Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis:

On Saturday, August 3rd from 5:45 to 6:45 pm,  my quartet  - THE VIBRAPHONICS  -  will be giving a serenade to the symphony audience just before the Minnesota Orchestra performance at 7 pm.

Then on Friday, August 9th  from 5:45 to 6:45 THE BRIAN GRIVNA QUARTET will be playing  in the Atrium prior to the Minnesota Orchestra performance at 7 pm.

These performances are free to Minnesota Orchestra ticket holders for those concert dates and can be heard gratuit from Peavey Plaza just outside the Atrium

Brian Grivna, a renowned freelance musician in the Twin Cities, has spent 12 years as a staff woodwind player at the Guthrie Theater and has toured with the Buddy Rich Band. He has performed and recorded with the Minnesota Orchestra and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He had been a regular on “A Prairie Home Companion” and has played in many Broadway pit bands. He teaches saxophone and jazz improvisation at Macalester College and the University of Minnesota.
